FOR JUNIOR AND LEARNER PLAYERS

This evening is primarily for new learners/junior members - until they want to move onto other sessions, plus members who are returning and need a refresher and junior members who cannot attend any other sessions. Players are able to ask questions and be given help if they so wish.
Players will only earn masterpoints in published "Open" events.
Any members who are prepared to mentor a junior/s are very welcome.
WELCOME BACK AND CHRISTMAS PAIRS
There is no limit on partnerships in these three day matches.
LEARNERS NIGHTS
A lesson will be given on a specific subject prior to playing some hands relevant to the lesson.
OPEN NIGHTS
These nights are for seniors to come and partner a junior to help them in basic aspects of bidding and playing.
MIXED TEAMS
A competition consisting of not more than 2 seniors playing a three round competition. Although playing for a trophy it is envisaged that it will also act as a learning tool for the junior players with time allowed for discussion between sets of play.
MAPLE PAIRS
12 rounds. 7 to qualify for a trophy. All rounds to be played with a partner who must be different from his/her Cedar Pairs partner.
CEDAR PAIRS
12 rounds. 7 to qualify for a trophy. All rounds to be played with a partner who must be different from his/her Maple Pairs partner.
In both the Maple and Cedar Pairs competitions, the committee may approve a permanent substitute for anyone unable to continue in the competititon owing to long term illness, moved away, resigned or has passed away.
To qualify for the above trophies a player must have only been playing for up to 3 full years.
NOTE: You do not need to have a partner to come and play on a Monday evening. Just come along and you will be paired up with another player.
